SUCCESSFUL TELE-ECHOGRAPHY DEMOS ON AMBULANCE USING EXPLORER 727
We gladly and proudly inform you officially that the pioneer Tele_echography experiments and demos, using Tele_Robotics, on an ambulance, which were carried out on the 14th December 2009 was concluded with 100% success. The above world premier success was the result of two years of hard work of all members of the Cyprus – French Telemedicine project ‘MARTE’ (Mobile And Robotised Tele – Echography), in close cooperation with all our industrial partners, including TOTOTHEO GROUP, which played from the very beginning a protagonistic role. During the above research experiments and demos volunteer ‘patients’ were successfully examined from distance by two Ultra Sound expert doctors: Dr Chrysa Tziakouri who was situated in Limassol and Dr Arnaud Coatrieux, who was situated in Bourges (in central France). The connection between land and sea was achieved via the INMARSAT BGAN satellite Network by using the terminals EXPLORER 727 from Thrane & Thrane.
